Roller Hockey Championship
My first mini-season of roller hockey is coming to a close today.
We defeated my good friend Cory Everett's team to advance to the finals today.
I'm not really scared of any of the players on the other team that we are playing tonight.
We should have a pretty good chance at winning.

Offseason Update
It has been awhile since I have updated this. In the first month or so of offseason, I have been training really hard.
I have been at the gym about five times a week, and I've been staying pretty motivated. It has been tough with school and classes being over soon, but I have still been working hard.
I'm really looking forward to my last season here at Fitchburg, no matter the role I will play.

Mullets and Gold Medals
What a game last night. Canada over the U.S.A 3-2 in Overtime. Sidney Effing Crosby.
Watching those guys celebrate probably the biggest hockey accomplishment possible, it gave me shivers thinking about the possibility of winning my own championship this weekend.
Three practices this week, then Thursday we will play in the playoffs. Clinching the number one seed was huge since we will have home-ice on Thursday, and on Saturday if we win. We don't know who we are playing yet, since we got a first round bye. We will play the winner of the Westfield State-Umass Dartmouth game. We have a bitter rivalry with both teams, so we know either way it's going to be a good game.
We lost to Umass Dartmouth last Saturday in a game that meant virtually nothing, besides pride. Nationals were probably a long-shot anyway, so now we can concentrate on a league championship.
Hockey is such a great sport. I know it's easy to toot my own horn about playing hurt, since I am, but there were other guys that have been playing hurt as well. Hockey players are known to play through serious injuries, enduring massive amounts of pain. The same injuries would cause a football player to miss weeks of practice and games. I know personally that whatever my injury is hurts like hell. I'll get into the injury more in depth after the season is over.
It's definitely weird going into the playoffs as a number-one seed. The last two years we have been the underdogs and now we are favored. Brings me back to my high-school days. I feel like we have a really good chance at winning this thing.
Another great thing about playoffs: It's mullet time. A bunch of us got together yesterday to get some crazy hair cuts. I am currently sporting my mullet with pride.
Monday practice today. We'll see what the coaches have in store for us, since we don't have a specific team to prepare for yet.
